Neither local militiamen nor veterinarians can explain what kind of a creature is holding in awe dwellers of Anuiskoe Settlement in the Altai Territory.
Judging by descriptions of the eyewitnesses, the mysterious monster attacks their domestic animals at night and sucks their blood out making them die.
In the recent months there have been registered 13 cases of mass murder of rabbits and other small livestock in Anuiskoe Settlement.
Local dwellers are panicking. Some extremely strong and smart beast breaks doors of the rabbit cages, breaks out pieces of wood, and undermines the sheds. The character and traces of attacks are always the same: the rabbits are killed, each of them having only two small pinholes at the back of the neck, and sorted out into heaps. During night attacks on the rabbits the watchdogs yelp of fear and hide in doghouses.
Local Internet users just add up to the fears. In any search engine the most popular answer to the request “mysterious death of rabbits” refers to the vampire animal Chupacabra unknown to scientists.
Richard Preston, a landscape designer, has been the latest person to spot a mysterious shape that might be the Loch Ness monster and capture a series of images on camera.
While working on Aldourie Castle gardens on the banks of the Loch Ness, 27-year-old Mr Preston spotted a shape on the loch’s surface out of the corner of his eye.
He told STV News: “I was just walking through the castle gardens and I spotted something in the distance. When I looked closer I could clearly see the four hump-like features. I thought I’d take a picture of it, to see if there was anything in it, to see what others thought.
“I was surprised that it stayed there as long as it did. I took various shots of it before it suddenly disappeared. I literally just turned my back and it was gone.”
He showed one of his friends who was also convinced there was certainly some mystery in the pictures.
When asked whether or not he believed in the monster, Mr Preston said: “Well there’s definitely something in the myth. There were no ripples in the water, no boats, nothing around. I have no idea what it was, but it undoubtedly looks like Nessie.”
The latest sighting has brought hope to monster enthusiasts, as it had been a relatively quiet spell for spotting any activity in the Loch. Fears had been mounting that Nessie might be dead since reports of any sightings had been diminishing.
In July 1930, three people in a boat at the north end of the loch saw a 6m long hump-like shape travelling fast through the water. In April 1933, Aldie Mackay saw a violent disturbance in the water and a hump “like that of a whale” while driving along the north side of the loch.
The Shennongjia Nature Reserve in Hubei province has examined a strand of hair which it has not managed to identify, prompting local people to speculate that it may belong to the “Wild Man” – China’s own Bigfoot.
Piao Jinlan, a researcher at the reserve, said that scientists need to continue their tests before they can identify the species.
The hair is said to be thicker than human hair and thinner than horsetail hair.
More than 400 people have claimed to have seen the half-man, half-ape “Wild Man” in the area in the last 100 years.
Witnesses describe the creature as walking upright, more than 2 meters tall and with grey, red or black hair all over its body.
An investigative team was set up in 2009 and started a large-scale search for the mysterious creature in Shennongjia this year.
A man that once worked as a fraud investigator claims he has captured an image of North American folklore.
Mike Greene, a former chief of fraud investigation in New Jersey, claims he captured video of Bigfoot in the Uwharrie National Forest over a year ago.
“In the middle of the night, I was awakened by what I call, ‘Darth Vader’ breaths,” said Greene. Greene said he was able to capture a thermal image of Sasquatch that night.
“The image is the first comprehensive thermal image of a Sasquatch even though I admit that it’s blurry,” said Greene.
In the video, Greene claims you can see a big creature come out of the woods and grab a candy bar that was set up to attract the Sasquatch.
“It can’t be anything else, I mean, it literally can’t be anything else,” said Greene.
Greene said many people have said the image is just a guy in a fat suit or gorilla suit, but he claims the thermal image proves it’s something different.
“The heat signature – which is what you’re looking at the heat signature would be completely different. It would be splotchy,” said Greene. “You could put a guy in a Bigfoot costume and fool night vision, because that’s just like a video camera. But if you put a thermal image on him, that’s going to look completely different.”
After seeing the video, Greene was convinced he had captured video of the much-discussed creature Bigfoot.
“Yeah, there’s no doubt about it,” said Greene.
Greene admits that he, and the rest of the Bigfoot Field Researchers Organization, are surprised there has not been better proof after several years of searching and many attempts to get a glimpse of the evasive alleged creature.
“We have, in the organization, maybe 200 game cams out looking for Sasquatches. We haven’t got one lousy picture of a Sasquatch, which doesn’t make any sense, unless you think that maybe these things are so smart that they either see the game cam,” said Greene.
Greene said there is no doubt he caught one of the rare images of the increasingly evasive creature.
“Clear as a bell, absolutely unequivocally, no doubt what it was – to me, anyway,” said Greene.
A majority of scientists discount the existence of Bigfoot and consider it to be a combination of folklore, misidentification, and hoax, rather than a legitimate animal, in part because some estimate large numbers necessary to maintain a breeding population.
Greene said fossils of a sasquatch-like creature have been unearthed in China. He claims the creature came over the land bridge that used to exist between Asia and Alaska.
