Well the ratings for the new 10 Million Dollar Bigfoot Bounty series and in and well they aren’t all that great. These low numbers come as no surprise to me after watching the first two episodes i was not very impressed and will not be watching any future episodes. The promises of Bigfoot research being done with a scientific approach on the show were not quite fulfilled and the survivor like reality show aspect of teams competing to stay on show falls flat. Like most Bigfoot enthusiasts i am always open minded and ready to watch just about anything Bigfoot related but this just is not worth the time. Also the attitudes of some of the so called “Bigfoot Hunters” and their belief that Bigfoot has to be killed to obtain proof of its existence is not one i am in agreement with.
Nielson’s rating numbers for the show were released from FutonCritic.com for time segments of all day, prime time, and the 10/9 central time slot. For the metric of “all day” the show didn’t even rank in the top 100 cable shows. In the prime time metric the 10 Million Dollar Bigfoot Bounty came ranked #35 with 633,000 viewers. For the 10/9 central time slot the show was beat rating wise by quite a few shows including Modern Family, Full House, Bearing Sea Gold, After the first 48 hours, Dead Files and more. Perhaps these number rise as the show moves forward but i would be surprised if that is the case. What is likely pre-scripted drama and more questionable at best Bigfoot research techniques the show seems headed in one direction and it not upward.
