New techniques being used to analyze DNA could be a key to cracking the mystery of the existence of Bigfoot says European researchers. Scientist from Oxford University and Lausanne Museum of Zoology are appealing to scientist , museums, cryptozoologist, and crypto aficinados for any Bigfoot or Yeti hair samples or other types of samples they may have associated with the creature. Researchers are planning to focus on hair samples to determine the species the samples originated from. The project is called Oxford-Lausanne Collateral Hominid Project.
Oxford Universities Bryan Sykes said the research group has already received samples which include hair , blood, and some items which were supposedly chewed by a Bigfoot to test. Sykes said there is already some evidence that already exist of interbreeding between Neanderthals and homo sapiens which may play a part in the creature known as the Yeti’s origins. There is a hypothesis which suggest the Yeti may be surviving Neanderthals.
Sykes admits that the chances of proving a new Yeti species or that Bigfoot exist is low but we will never find out if we don’t look.
